INDUSTRIAL POLICY IN UKRAINE: MECHANISMS AND NEW AGENDA FOR 4.0 DIGITAL ECONOMY

Abstract

Article discusses the development of industrial policy of Ukraine since 1991. The paper assesses the selected industry support mechanisms and their impacts on industrial development of the country. And also addresses the new agenda for modern industrial policy including Industry 4.0 and digitization of the economy. As a result of the study, it is concluded that current industrial policy of Ukraine lacks the strategical aspect, isn’t reflected in corresponding documents of the government and does not have an appropriate level of coordination between different state bodies.Key words: industrial policy, mechanisms, digital economy, Ukraine, industry support.
